Listening and speaking are fundamental human activities – yet they’re often overlooked or done poorly. There can be consequences: misunderstandings, unmet expectations, and even disasters. Listening involves four different skills that generally operate separately. These are: ✅Hearing (what is said) ✅Receiving (the meaning) ✅Seeing (the intentions) ✅Responding (appropriately) There are no isolated interactions but rather parts of an ongoing conversation within which we experience the whole together.
